McNeilus, a commercial division of Oshkosh, is currently seeking a Shop Service Technician to work on a diverse assortment of large refuse collection vehicles and concrete mixers. This position is built for a jack of all trades mechanic who is passionate about diagnosing and maintaining all aspects of a custom heavy equipment fleet of vehicles.We are passionate about hiring candidates who are interested in growing their careers and working for a company that is innovative in design and problem solving.SUMMARYIntermediate level technician able to provide a broad range of repair to used customer refuse trucks and concrete mixer trucks. Service work will be conducted at designated McNeilus service facility. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1. Perform a wide variety of maintenance and repair work to all makes of concrete mixers and refuse hauling trucks.2. Maintain necessary maintenance records.3. Interact with customers and promote service work. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS· High School Diploma, GED or equivalent· Experience in maintenance, preferably in vehicle and truck body repair PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS• Associates Degree or 2 year technical degree• CDL License• Ability to perform basic and occasionally complex maintenance and repair• Ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulic/electrical systems• Ability to read schematics• Skill and experience in stick and wire feed welding• Must maintain acceptable level of punctuality and attendance for work Oshkosh Corporation is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
