Must be bilingual (English & Spanish)!Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesShift: 12:00 - 8:30pmCoordinate with Fleet manager in completing shift workAble to supervise 2 or more other employees, while workingMust update work orders, close work orders, and work with driversMust maintain, order, and update parts inventoryPrepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computerPerform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation requiredInspect and perform work on the under parts of vehiclesAccess any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenanceMove parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on vehicleComply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/proceduresPerform other duties as requiredKey Competencies and Minimum EducationAt least 5 years’ experience performing vehicle maintenance or must possess auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical schoolInternational / Cummins experience requiredMust be able to speak fluent SpanishASE Certifications preferredCommercial Driver’s License class “A” or “B “ preferredMust be able to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine if operating properlyMust provide own hand tools & toolbox.Knowledge of hand held scan tools and the process of diagnosing vehicles.Ability to read schematics and familiar with processProficient computer skills: knowledge of Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and EmailStrong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)Working ConditionsExposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise.Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritantsAccess any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenanceAbility to move and position objects weighing up to 40 pounds.Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehiclesAbility to work outside in various weather conditions.Employees may use their personal vehicle for business purposes. It is the personal responsibility of the vehicle owner to carry adequate insurance coverage for their protection and for the protection of any passengers. It is required that employees who regularly use their personal vehicle for company business maintain minimum of $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury coverage and $50,000 property damage coverage on their vehicles
