Cotterman Center of the Community Partnership Division/Human Services Department.Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: * Master's Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Counseling, Counseling Education or closely related field.* One (1) year of experience in crisis intervention, including six (6) months of experience in clinical case management (child abuse and/or sexual violence).Special Certifications and Licenses Required:Must possess a valid FL Class E Driver's License at time of appointment and must be able to obtain and maintain authorization to drive on County business, depending on area of assignment.Preferences: * Knowledge/expertise in handling child abuse and/or sexual violence victims (4+ years experience)* Knowledge/expertise in crisis intervention (4+ years experience)* Bilingual Spanish, Creole or Portuguese candidates preferred POSTING WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL A SUFFICIENT NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS ARE RECEIVED.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsibilities:1. Evaluates and provides crisis intervention counseling to victims of sexual violence, and child abuse and their non-offending family members, in person or by telephone.2. Accompanies and provides advocacy to clients during initial and follow up forensic medical examinations, appointments, interviews, trial and sentencing and other necessary appointments or services.3. Provides information to clients about available services and resources and coordinates/delivers agency services.4. Conducts forensic interviews5. Testifies at depositions, hearings, and trials as required.6. Explains the legal process to clients and family members as it pertains to individual cases; coordinates with local law enforcement agencies and the State Attorney's Office regarding the status of cases.7. Prepares required casework and narrative reports, typically using computer-based applications.8. Completes agency intakes and triage cases as needed to determine appropriate services.9. Represents the agency in community events, staffings, and stakeholder meetings.10.
