Title: Data ManagerLocation: Miami, FLDIRECT HIRESalary: $110,000 - $125,000/yearWe are looking for a candidate with experience interacting with the Board and Business executivesPOSITION SUMMARY:Responsible for all Database Architecture, Database Development, ETL Development, and Data Loading efforts for Data Repository. The position all involves managing the requisite Data Analysis/Planning/Reporting in order to develop a Strategic Data Road Map for this business area.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Designs, builds, and tests specific database structures, applying best practices and optimize the existing environment for better efficiency gains.Facilitates the process of using statistical modeling as a foundation for weekly, monthly and annual forecasting cycles to show metrics of database performance.Provide reporting on performance and effectiveness of statistical modeling and manual override forecast accuracy.Lead the formulation and direct the execution of several types of analysis; including statistical modeling and understanding of Data Warehouse concepts.Develop and maintain databases and modeling activities for all business efforts. This includes querying, programming and modeling expertise to capture and analyze information from the existing databases and data warehouse.Exceptional programming and analysis across a broad range of data analysis tools e.g. Business Objects, Tableau, Informatica, etc.Evaluates business data and recommends appropriate analytic approaches/strategies to achieve stated objectives. Performs analyses to drive investment decisions and optimize expense/efforts for database upgrades and support.Responsible for design methodology and/or analytic frameworks. Understand, leverage and enhance existing strategies and processes. Provide statistical analysis to develop, test, and optimize databases to their full potential.Develops and implements full database structure and blueprint of database updates, monitoring and assisting in developing, testing efforts for database use.Creates regular reporting summarizing key metrics (such as: file attrition, retention, and acquisition measurements) and trends to key team members and Management.SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:10+ years direct experience as a Database Developer / ETL developer in a corporate environment5+ years of manager of Data Analysts.Proven Data Architecture and Data Modeling skillsProven advanced level Microsoft T-SQL skills5+ years of large corporate experience in model development, statistical methodologies and quantitative analysis.Demonstrated knowledge of large, relational databases and data structures.Proficient in standard business and database software including: MS Office, MS Access, Business Objects, SQL, and Oracle.Experience building regression-based database systems, understanding of data models and the use of modeling techniques in a business environment.Excellent communication and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to converse with all levels of staff and management.Proven ability to influence stakeholders by balancing strategy and tactics with diverse personalities across all organizational functional areas.Strong quantitative skills, attention to detail, and a high aptitude for problem solving.Able to work as a team player with Application Developers, Database administrators and operational personnel; providing guidance, direction and support.EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math or other MIS field is required.Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $120,000.00 /yearRequired experience:ETL: 6 yearsT-SQL: 4 yearsBusiness Intelligence: 6 yearsData Analysis: 4 yearsData Modeling: 4 yearsData Manager: 3 years
