The Construction Operations Manager manages the Florida office and all its operations, while communicating and coordinating growth and profitability with company executives. Responsibilities Responsibilities for the position include, but won’t be limited to, the following:Work with executives to implement and mandate standards and procedures for the departmentWork with executives to set and monitoring goals for office budget and profitabilityInsure management costs reports are being properly maintainedResponsible for the hiring and staffing needs of officeOverall supervisory responsibility for Project Manager(s), Asst. Project Manager(s), Project Engineer(s), Superintendent(s), Administrative Staff and Field PersonnelPlan, organize and direct all department activities at management and non-management levelProvide strategic direction while aligning business, financial, and operations initiatives with company goals.Oversee the management of projects and client relationships; while leading marketing and work acquisition efforts in the Southeast region as it relates to both public and private marketsIdentify and track work in new and emerging markets, while concurrently tracking marketplace competitorsManage multiple projects including responsibilities for overall risk assessment, change management, performance and control measures throughout the duration of each projectMonitor owner satisfaction, while understanding the clients organization, decision making styles, and overall processesInitiate and maintain relationships with client decision makers at both staff and political levelsInsure that company policies and procedures are being adhered to in the South Florida officesMonitor billings and payments from owners and payments to subcontractorsFinal approval of all subcontracts and change ordersResponsible for review of proposal qualityInsure that company policies regarding EEO/Affirmative Action are adhered toMonitor contract compliance for MBE/WBE subcontracting and hiring goal requirementsRequirements: B.S Construction Management / Engineering and/or 10 years Construction Project Management. Experience with unit price and lump sum projects is required. Operations Manager must have knowledge of construction, estimating, design, finance and management.
